Causes
Sinus cavities are located behind the cheek bones, above the upper jaw. If these become infected, it could very well feel like a toothache. The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) could also be a culprit. There are other medical conditions that may make it seem like you have a toothache.
If the pain lasts more than 15 to 20 seconds, or if it is chronic, don’t ignore the symptoms. Especially if you are having difficulty chewing or swallowing, contact our office for an emergency appointment. We will make arrangements to see you as soon as possible.
